Project Blue should be rejected
I am a hard no on Project Blue and will not support the requested annexation. Valid and vocal concerns have been raised about large water usage, large energy consumption, and the negative impacts to air quality. Concerns that have all been well documented across the country in places where data centers were built and are now causing problems. I just can’t buy the line “water positive” as the project boosters refer to it. I have spent my career protecting the environment we all live in. Any project that touts “economic gain” while potentially threatening our invaluable water supply, the air we breathe, or that exacerbates climate change should be rejected. Data centers do not belong in the Sonoran Desert. Period.

Dahl supports neighborhoods
Our City Council member, Kevin Dahl, has done a great job of understanding and empowering city residents. For the La Madera neighborhood, he helped revive our dormant neighborhood association as a way of amplifying our voices when we have concerns and channeling city services to meet our needs. He met with residents and a Police Department Community Service Officer when we had crime problems in our local wash and worked to get city resources focused on the site.
In my experience, Councilmember Dahl has been a huge asset to the community. He works hard to understand the issues, listens to the people affected, and advocates for effective solutions. He is open-minded, compassionate, and creative in his approach, and clearly deserves re-election.
